What's Going On In There Week 20!

It's time for Monday which means it's time for.........................

What's Going On In There Week 20 and Halfway There Edition!

Can you tell I'm really excited to be at the half way point!!

So let's get on with more excited and find out what's grooving for Little Miss Truex this week!!

Bowel: Right now a sticky, black substance called Meconium made up of sloughed cells, digestive secretions, and swallowed amniotic fluid is building up inside of baby's bowels and will show up in one of her firsts dirty diapers.

Skin: To help baby not look like a little wrinkled raisin when they are born after spending nine months lounging in a sac of amniotic fluid their skin is now being covered with vernix caseosa, which is greasy almost cheese like substance that will protect her skin while she finishes cooking!

Uterus: The top of the uterus that is happily expanding and holding the growing baby can be easily felt right at the belly button level! Of course it still has a ways to grow and expand up before it's done!

Well there you go everyone! Even though we are half way through we still have a lot more growing and developing to do so stay tuned!
