It's that time of the week again for the weekly What's Going On In There week 10 addition!
It's time to see how Baby Truex is rocking and rolling this week in their happy uterine home!
Fingers: Not only are all the fingers now separate but tiny fingernails are starting to grow in and getting ready for their first cut after birth!
Yolk Sac: Since around week 4 or 5 Baby Truex's has had the yolk sac to not only entertain them but to function as the developmental circulatory system before the baby's internal circulatory system kicks in. Well this week the baby's liver is making blood cells so the yolk sac is officially honorably discharged from superior performance and active duty and will start to disappear! Thank you for your service in helping Baby Truex grow and develop to this point!
Brain: The baby's brain is still developing at a fast rate high on the baby's head, making it's forehead of the little dome piece it's stationed at bulge out. But don't worry in a couple of weeks the head will round out and Baby Truex will lose some of it's alien characteristics and start to look more from this planet!
Uterus: It's amazing how a little organ can change, grow, and become even more important in 10 weeks! This week Baby Truex's uterine home has expanded and doubled in size! Starting out around the size of a pear before Baby Truex called it home it's now around the size of a grapefruit! For this mommy the way it is in my body plus my pelvis it's already starting to slightly peek above my pelvic bone to produce my little, early, but much enjoyed baby bump!
So there you go guys and gals! Week 10 of What's Going On In There! I have an appointment today and may be getting another ultrasound so come back tomorrow to check on hopefully new pictures of Baby Truex as well as everyday to see what fun things are going on during our pregnancy journey!
