Sneak Peek at 19 Weeks and Prenatal Doctor Consult!

Today we had our mid pregnancy ultrasound and consult with the prenatal doctor!

Before I give you all the info from the doctor let's enjoy the cute photos of our Mister Little Bean from today!

Here is his nose and lips!

Head and some of the brain!

Little profile shot of my wiggly guy!

Looking down on his little head to see his eyes and orbital sockets!

Another profile with him opening his mouth! He was showing off his opening and closing of the mouth skills!

Another profile shot!

Some fun 4D images! Luckily he isn't like his sister and didn't cover up his face with his hands or turn into my placenta to cover up his sweet face!

Profile with his hand in his face!

Shoulder and upper arm bone!

Little baby spine!

Giving us a thumbs up!

Little hand!

His little heart! He was very active during this part so it took her a while to get a picture of it!

I thought this was cool! It's the blood flow to his kidneys!

"Money shot!" He is all boy!

He was kicking away but here are his little feet!

He is very healthy and active and right on track where he should be!

Now on to the consult!

We met with Dr. Kohlman who is super sweet! She reviewed the ultrasound and gave Little Bean and clean bill of health! We then talked about my blood clots and the future for delivery and later in the pregnancy. Here are the highlights!

* She feels Little Bean should be healthy enough to stay cooking for an extra week so hopefully we can hold off my c-section until 38 weeks!

* She wants me to switch to Heparin injections at 36 weeks because more hospitals and doctors are comfortable with performing an awake c-section on women who are on Heparin as opposed to Lovenox. If for some reason I stat to go into labor earlier we will switch to the Heparin injections at that point.

* After he is born I will continue with blood thinning medicine most likely continue with injections since oral blood thinners can be passed through breast milk to the baby.

* And lastly she wants to do another ultrasound between 28-30 weeks so we can see how big he is getting and make sure our game plan right now is still the best plan to go with!

So there is our update and we are so excited that our little boy is healthy, active, and right on track!
